What will we ever do when we run out of the money to build things, and the land to build them on ? These caterpillars will never become butterflies – abandoned escavators near Kinara, Co. Galway.

Camera = Canon 5D, lens = Canon 24-105mm@24mm. This image was created by taking two identically composed pictures (using a tripod to fix the camera position). One picture was a standard colour image, and the other was an infrared image (taken using a Tiffen 87 infrared filter). I over-saturated the colour image, brightened the infrared image, and then merged the two together, all in Photoshop.
