Asgard II sinks

There was one regular visitor to Galway Harbour that won’t return anymore. The Irish training ship Asgard II sank off the French coast this morning – luckily, there were no casualties. You can see a picture of the ship’s figurehead here.
Ohhh John, I read about this but had no idea it was this particular vessel…at least you/we have the pictures. A sad loss but not of life, according to the news? Apparently the crew were well prepared, but naturally quite shaken after the fact…not surprising.
Damn. Nice craft.
