Irish Rail have notices in the stations explaining that due to autumn leaves on the tracks, the trains might run slower than normal. Given that the Irish Rail timetable is a work of magic realism at the best of times, they might as well have blamed the election of Barack Obama for their tardiness. At least they didn’t blame the ‘signalling‘.
