This marker is close to the point where the Bealanabrack river (Abhainn Bhéal Átha na mBreac) flows into the thin channel of the northern tip of Lough Corrib between Lackavrea (the other side of where this picture was taken) and Cornamona – a mile or so from Maam. The snow-covered Lackavrea is reflected in the water.
