Marina at Carrick-on-Shannon – Part 1

The icy fog on Christmas morning was so thick that the bridge over the Shannon at Carrick-on-Shannon wasn’t visible from the marina. A month earlier In January¹, the water level was much higher – floodwater was lapping around the entrance of the buildings just visible on the right of the picture.

When I was touring with Stand, we actually slept in a boat in the Marina.. Interesting night that was!
