Never look a gift horse in the mouth, especially if it actually a donkey
The Ballinasloe Horse Fair is on this week, and there will be lots of people sizing up nags of every description. I encountered this donkey (above) on Clare Island recently, and naturally, he did what every donkey does when you proffer a hand to stroke its nose – it tried to bite my fingers off.
Since then, the photographer has no fingers to press the shutter button !
