The Arrival
The boats of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 arriving in Galway Harbour tonight. The lock gates of the harbour were closed until 2.30am this morning [due to the tide], but when they opened, a huge crowd was there to welcome in Camper, the winner of the race stage from L’Orient to Galway [middle picture] followed by Groupama [bottom picture], which came second in this leg but the overall winner.
