This weather would put years on you. The wettest July in many a year in Ireland may be followed by a similarly wet August. Spending time on the beach or the promenade in Salthill revolves around watching huge clouds passing over Galway Bay and hoping the rain lands somewhere else – in the case of the photo above, the rain is coming down on New Quay and Abbey Hill in the Burren.
