The rising sun illuminating the face of Oileán na Feamainne in Salthill yesterday (it’s the hill to the west of the caravan park at the end of Salthill promenade). At very high tides, it becomes an island – hence the name. Behind it can be seen houses on Inis Mór (the largest of the Aran Islands), shimmering like a mirage.
