It’s a Hard Duck Life

At the end of March, it was wet, cold and windy in Galway (no suprise there). On my morning stroll by the Claddagh, I spotted two little furballs bobbing in the water beside their mallard parents. Two ducklings, presumably the survivors of a larger brood, looked like they had just recently hatched. The video is a short summary of their life so far. It’s a hard life for fledgelings making their way in the world – these two seem to have beaten the odds.
