I put up a bird feeder last week. So far, it is mainly tits that are visiting. A great tit, a couple of juvenile coal tits and a family of blue tits (all of which nested & fledged in neighbouring gardens) are frequent visitors. The young blue tits are the most enthusiastic, and show the least fear (which is not necessarily a good thing for them). One of them doesn’t even fly away when I open the feeder to replenish it (though it does chirp a bit of defiance in my direction while I’m there).
