Under the current Covid-19 restrictions, I can’t travel to the Burren (since it is mostly across the county boundary in Clare). Luckily, I can get my fix of exposed limestone pavement (and all the wonderful flora and fauna associated with it) just 20 minutes from my home. There is a low hill overlooking Lough Corrib near Moycullen which has much the same terrain as the Burren. Right now, there are lots of early-purple orchids in flower and it is a wonderful sight.
