7-spot ladybird
There’s been a scarcity of ladybirds in my back garden for the last couple of years. It’s looking better this year already – there are plenty of seven-spot ladybirds visible throughout the garden. They seem particularly attracted to the large clump of arum lily leaves, where the ladybird (above) was photographed.  The lily leaves are a magnet for all sorts of insects and other creatures right now, including a large number of hungry snails.
