It is always a noisy spot down at the Claddagh with gulls, pigeons, crows and swans vying for the scraps of food that visitors throw to them. The gull pictured above managed to grab a section of bread roll that was 15-20cms long. Despite numerous pecks on the head and other harassments  from his fellow gulls, it managed to hold onto the roll long enough to break it up and eat it.
