There was once a proposal to build a car park and interpretative centre near Mullaghmore mountain in the Burren, Co. Clare. Through a long campaign and court case in the Nineties, the decision to build was eventually rescinded. Eight years ago this week, the High Court ordered that the land be restored and the construction work that had begun be removed.
