Eight below zero


On Christmas morning in Carrick-on-Shannon, it was minus 8 Celcius, and everything was covered with white frost. This is the entrance to the town from the Dublin side (just after the shopping centre). Similar temperatures are predicted for the first week of January 2010.

There hasn’t been too much snow in Galway city over the Christmas season - here’s  a video of some rather slushy snow falling in Galway city on December 29th – taken with a Canon G9 compact camera..
