The rosemary plant in my back garden was in bloom for almost the entire month of May – it is the longest I ever remember a rosemary plant in flower. The flowers are small, delicate and mauve, and clearly full of nectar. The plant pot was close to an ant colony and daily, the insects would spread out across the rosemary plant and crawl head first into the flower heads to feed on the nectar.
