Google Trends lets you type in a couple of words or phrases and shows you the relative popularity of one versus the other over time. So I typed in Lisbon Treaty Yes, Lisbon Treaty No and Google returned the same answer as the Irish electorate.
Then I just typed in Yes or No, and it was even more definitive
So if there is another referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, the government should ask something like “Do you really want to leave the Constitution the way it is, and not bother it with this auld treaty nonsense” and campaign like hell on the if you don’t know, vote no slogan.
It’s how you phrase the question…
