Birdwatch Ireland have launched their annual Garden Bird Survey this week. Every week, they ask people to log the number of garden birds observed in back gardens (the form is available from the survey link above). This is an ideal way of doing some citizen science work over the winter. I plan to create my own Google Chart to log daily sightings (which I will later summarize for the offical submission). Pictured above is a Coal Tit, which is one of a number of birds that visit my garden daily since I put up a bird feeder.
