The boughs of a mighty oak reach out over the receding waters of a turlough in Coole Park just after sunrise last Saturday. I discovered this tree a few years ago, and stand (and sometimes sit) underneath it any chance I get. Until a few weeks ago, the flood water had surrounded it, but not it has rejoined the ‘mainland’. It is not as famous as Coole Park’s autograph tree but is probably around the same age.
