The temperature has remained above average during the winter so far in Ireland. Grass is growing, and the emergence of plants and flowers has begun. The daffodils outside my house in Galway city have been in flower since the end of last week, and my neighbour’s daffodils have begun to bloom too. A few crocuses are visible in the picture above too. On the family farm in Co. Westmeath, snowdrops are already in flower, and the leaves of an elder tree have appeared.
