My greenhouse is a bit like Trigger’s Broom¹ – there’s not much of the original left. I won’t need to grow anything in it until next Spring, and right now, it’s full of the results of a garden tidy-up (i.e. junk). So I’ve covered it with chicken wire (which might also help to keep the roof on if there’s a summer storm), and planted peas and sweetpea plants. The plants are ‘grand-children’ – there were grown from seeds earlier this year – those seeds came from plants which were also grown from seeds last year.
The peas are Daniel O’Rourke peas – the originals came from Seedsavers and are a traditional Irish strain. They are already starting to climb along the wire.
