Caught red-handed, admiring my handiwork!
I don’t know about the rest of you, but it’s been a great year for raspberries in my garden this year.I have half a dozen plants growing against a wall that gets the sun, and which is fairly sheltered. I suspect that the very warm summer helped, but I’ve been picking bowls of berries right up until this weekend, even as the temperature has dipped noticeably.
I’ll probably get another couple of bowls before the growth finally stops for the year. Most of the berries ended up in porridge for breakfast but I did get to make a raspberry pie earlier in the summer, and it tasted fine. It’s hard to beat homegrown, freshly-picked fruit.
