The Burren Hills and Galway Bay  shimmer in the heat over the May Bank Holiday weekend, as a cyclist descends the bog road that connects Moycullen to Spiddal (the same road will also connect you with an endless supply of midges, if you linger too long).
There is plenty of sunshine and warmth forecast for tomorrow in the west, which is great if you’re trying to save turf, but not so much fun if you’re trying to study for the Leaving Cert. Thankfully, I’m doing neither, so as long as there isn’t a plague of frogs or locusts, I don’t mind what the weather brings.
