It has been 4 years since I last visited the island, and like the last time, I went over as part of a group from the Galway Bay Walking Club. We were looked after very well indeed in the Granuaile House guesthouse – as soon as we arrived off the boat early on Saturday morning, we were invited into the sitting room for a coffee, which eased us into the day. Best of all is the view from the house – the house is practically part of the harbour. Naturally, I couldn’t let such a great view go to waste so I set up a camera on timelapse before heading off for dinner and the pub. I managed to get drenched at least twice that evening – the weather was great during the day while we were out walking, but it became quite stormy later in the evening.
