This sign (in Bangalore, India) reads “If the two wheelers are not parked between the yellow lines, tyres will be deflated”. Maybe they should try this in Galway.
In Galway, traffic management is simple. Find a straight road, build a roundabout on each end of it, and jam it up real good. If that doesn’t slow the traffic in itself, building a shopping centre or two right on the roundabout should do the trick. And if that doesn’t work, just put a pedestrian crossing just off the really busy roundabouts, just out of the line of sight of drivers. ‘Cause drivers love a bit of a surprise, and the pedestrians appreciate the adrenalin rush too.
