The evenings are nearly gone. I was driving into my estate this evening at around 8 o’clock, and the sky was already darkening. Taken on the Western Distributor road this evening. The real purpose of the picture was to test a new lens – to see how it handled ‘flare’. Not so bad. Quick tip – if you want light sources to appear star-like (such as the street lights in the image above), you need to ‘stop down ‘ the lens to the maximum.
Camera=Canon 5D, lens=Canon17-40@17mm, aperture=f22, speed=4 secs, ISO=200, tripod.
Imagine that at 5pm in 3 weeks time, loads of traffic for trails. Just don’t plan on going far afterwards!
That’s not fair John, you have 2, no 4, no 6 streetlight stars.
Well done on the exposure and composition.
