Yes – there are signs telling people not to go up on the cliff over Silver Strand, but that’s also where the best view can be found. The sea is eating through the cliff (it’s only made of sand and clay) which is worth considering if you plan on standing on the edge (or at the base of the cliff).
I shot some pics there a couple of summers ago. I wanted to go to the top, but it had just stopped raining and was WINDY. My “Don’t be stupid” alarm went off in my head, so for once I decided to heed it. Too bad I didn’t recheck my settings before shooting. It was very sunny for the time we were there and most of my shots were over exposed! grrr! Oh well, there’s always another trip to your fine island on my agenda!
