The weathered and eroded limestone on the beach near Kilronan on Inis Mór have an otherworldly quality to it – the shapes of the rocks are unusual, as are the mottled shades of gray (caused by the rocks drying unevenly). This picture was shot in colour and converted to black and white, but, in truth, it was mainly shades of gray to begin. Larger version here.
