Moonlight on Inishbofin
So much for the longest day of the year yesterday – it rained heavily for most of it. The picture above was taken the day [or rather the following night] after my wedding on Inisbofin island in mid-April. I got quite sunburned on that day, and even in the dead of night, the air was warm and clear, and I could cycle along the narrow lanes on the island by the light of the moon alone. The long exposure picture [25 seconds] shows the old church ruins and graveyard on the island – in the background are the hills of Connemara and the lights of Cleggan.
