The clatter of incoming helicopters, the abundance of large German cars and the sheen of good health and fortune on the faces of well-dressed ladies and gentlemen strolling around town. There may be a recession [apparently], but some things seem like normal during Galway race week.
One thing that we’ll have to do without is the airshow, cancelled after last year’s helicopter incident.
