The male bullfinch is a really beautiful creature. This one has feeding in my back garden for the last few weeks. I planted a few cotoneaster bushes a few years ago to ensure a plentiful supply of winter berries for bird visitors. This plant also has a type of honeysuckle plant growing through it which produces plenty of bee-friendly flowers during the summer, and seeds in winter (that’s what the bullfinch is eating in the photo above).
