For most of this year, the Burren has been off-limits to me due to the Covid-19 restrictions. As it turns out, I didn’t need to go to Clare – there is a small area of similar terrain overlooking Lough Corrib near Moycullen. I went out there last week as the sun was setting. As a cuckoo called from a nearby tree, a raincloud moved slowly across the landscape. I managed to finish taking pictures just as the rain arrived.
