There is a bit of fuss of the setup of Irish Water at the moment. As Enda Cunningham of the Connacht Tribune pointed out, the head of Irish Water, John Tierney, was the Galway City Manager when the Eyre Square revamp (and subsequent delays and cost overruns) took place. Bad luck, eh ? Eight years ago today, I took some pictures of Eyre Square when it was still a building site, and I took a few pictures from (almost) the same locations at the weekend.
