Maamtrasna Stream

I’ve been due to lead a walk for the Galway Walking Club twice this year, and both times, I’ve been unable to due to being in the wrong country. On Sunday, I was due to lead a group around the Maamtrasna hills but was stuck abroad due to flight disruptions caused by the Iceland volcano. The walk went ahead anyway with 17 club members – the picture above was from my ‘recce’ visit the week before – just to make sure the hills were still there.
