Park bench in Chamonix, France – January 2018.
Around this time last year, a bunch of us went for a winter holiday in Chamonix in France. Ironically, there was too much snow there, and many of the facilities were closed (not the restaurants, thankfully). I bought salopettes thinking that I probably wouldn’t need them again once I got home. Little did I know that I’d be wearing them around Galway 5 weeks later. There’s been a bit of snow falling in Ireland over the last couple of days (though it fell as chunky rain in Galway). Don’t think I need to dig out the snow gear yet.
