The road in Galway with the widest footpath, and the widest carriageway, has no cycle path. Even during the pandemic, the line of bollards intended to prevent parking along Salthill Promenade are intentionally not intended to facilitate safe cycling. When it comes to providing simple and effective traffic infrastructure, Galway never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
